AN AIRPLANE NEEDS VERY POWERFUL ENGINES TO PROPEL IT TO SPEEDS THAT WILL ALLOW IT TO LIFT OFF FROM THE GROUND AND STAY ON AIR! We also need a “lift off” anointing to raise us up to our place of triumph and victory over the forces of bondage, limitations and destruction.
THE FORCE OF “LIFT” ONLY KICKS IN WHEN THE FORCE OF “SPEED” or THRUST IS ATTAINED
ARISE SHINE - a command to become
Isaiah 60:1-3 (NKJV)
1 Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
ARISE - h6965. קוּם qûm; set (up), (e-)stablish, (make to) stand (up), stir up, strengthen, succeed, (as-, make) sure(-ly),
THE COMMAND TO ARISE INTERRUPTS ANY NEGATIVE PREVAILING STATUS QUO TO FORCEFULLY BRING ABOUT THE MUCH NEEDED CHANGE OR BREAKTHROUGH!
1. There are many instances in the Bible where the command to either “arise” or “rise up” was used by Jesus or God Himself or Man of God.
2. In all these instances it is very clear that such commands where not just simple instructions but were backed by God Himself or His anointing on man.
3. These commands always demonstrated victory over all the forces of darkness or all impossible circumstances
4. The arise or rise up command defies both the laws of nature and the spiritual laws of “sin and death”.
5. They also resulted in an end to long periods of struggles, bondage or limitations!
6. They offer an immediate supernatural launching pad to a breakthrough or new era or freedom or a new beginning.
7. They also represented a move towards the fulfillment of a destiny or a life time promise!
RISE UP AND WALK - a command to freedom
Matthew 9:5-8 (NKJV)
5 For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Arise and walk'? 6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"—then He said to the paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." 7 And he arose and departed to his house.
8 Now when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men. (“Such as I have, I give unto you”)
Acts 3:6 (NKJV)
6 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
Acts 9:33-35 (NKJV)
33 There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed. 34 And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed." Then he arose immediately. 35 So all who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
ARISE GO TO - a command to a place of provision
1 Kings 17:8-9 (NKJV)
Elijah and the Widow
8 Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying, 9 "Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you."
Luke 4:25-26 (NKJV)
25 But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
ARISE AND WALK THE LAND - a command to possess
Genesis 13:17 (NKJV Strong's)
17 Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you."

2 "Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.
ARISE AND FLEE - a command for protection and timing
Matthew 2:13 (NKJV)
The Flight into Egypt
13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him."
ARISE TAKE UP YOUR BED - a command to end the limitation and bondage
John 5:7-8 (NKJV)
7 The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."
8 Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk."
⁃ you don’t need any man, you need His commanding power to freedom
ARISE - from death - a command to defy the power of death and total destruction
Mark 5:41-42 (NKJV)
41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, "Talitha, cumi," which is translated, "Little girl, I say to you, arise." 42 Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement.
THE SPIRIT ALWAYS RAISES THE STANDARD -
Isaiah 59:19 (NKJV)
19 So shall they fear
The name of the LORD from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.
